Merzouga Packages runs private tours to the Sahara from eight starting points: Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca, Tangier, Meknes, Erfoud, Errachidia and Merzouga itself. Every tour leads to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you ride a camel at sunset and sleep in a desert camp with a private bathroom.
You travel only with your own family or friends, in an air-conditioned vehicle with a local Berber driver-guide, and we pick you up at your hotel or riad.
How to choose your tour
- Short on time? Erfoud and Errachidia are 1 to 2 hours from the dunes, so a sunset trip or one night in the desert is easy.
- Starting in Marrakech? Plan at least 3 days: the road crosses the High Atlas, Aït Ben Haddou and the Dades and Todra gorges.
- Starting in Fes or Meknes? The desert is 7 to 8 hours away through the Middle Atlas, and 2-day tours are possible.
- Flying into Casablanca or Tangier? Choose a 5- to 10-day tour that combines the imperial cities with the Sahara.
